Lake Area Bank- Full-Time Personal Banker/Universal Banker II

Lake Area Bank-Stillwater location is accepting applications for a full-time Universal Banker II to join our great team dedicated to their community and service! We are seeking candidates wanting long-term employment.

Daytime hours Monday-Friday
1-2 Saturdays per month
DUTIES:
This position is responsible for providing our customers a wide range of services to meet their needs, while establishing and growing their banking relationships.
Accountabilities:
Deposit Growth (50%)
Open deposit accounts (DDA, SAV, CD, etc.) for walk-in customers.
Collect all relevant information and documentation required to facilitate the processing of all accounts opened and process customer account maintenance.
Assist with product promotions as we introduce various promotions throughout the year
Cross Sell:
Follow our customer relationship fundamentals including: identification, prospecting, sales, cross selling and providing quality service to all customers.
Refer customers internally (LAM, LAFS, Business Banking, etc.) as appropriate for additional products and services.
Customer Interaction (50%)
Deliver excellent customer experience by following our customer service standards to promptly acknowledge customers in the lobby and by answering phones in a timely manner.
Demonstrate working knowledge of teller policies, procedures and duties and process customer transactions in a manner that is fast, friendly, and accurate. Including: accurately process standard teller transactions, count and accurately balance cash drawer daily, ATM balancing and vault balancing.
Perform a wide range of account services including, but not limited to, handling debit card inquiries, address changes, stop payments, transfers, and processes check orders.

Responsibilities:
Conduct day to day job duties and responsibilities within bank policy and in compliance with banking regulations.
Assist with duties necessary to build goodwill for the bank and increase our customer base, including participation in community and bank sponsored events, networking, and volunteer opportunities.

QUALIFICATIONS
Education/
Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent
2
years of customer service/sales experience; preferably in a bank setting
Prior cash handling experience required.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Effective communication and phone skills.
Able to adjust quickly to different work situations and remain composed under pressure and in stressful situations.
Able to prioritize tasks to make the best use of time for high priority tasks.
Working knowledge of bank products and services, along with an understanding of the role of sales and customer service in a community bank environment
Dependability, accuracy, attention to detail, ability to organize and prioritize
Must be able to see, walk, talk or hear; with specific regard to potential drive-up teller duties.
Moderate proficiency with regard to computers and standard office equipment including Word and Excel
Ability to work well in a team environment.
While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly required to stand up to 80% of the time
Must be able to occasionally lift and/or move coin bags up to 50 pounds with assistance.
