This position is full-time and based out of Wildwood Elementary, K-2 building. Salary and benefits are part of the Para Master Agreement.
Minimum Requirements:

Must be Highly Qualified. Two year degree preferred. Previous experience working with elementary students in an educational setting preferred. Experience in positive proactive behavior strategies and familiarity with google tools preferred.

Summary:

Working with students in an educational setting and helping them grow to their full potential. Support teachers and students in an environment to help foster social, emotional, and academic learning.
Duties and
Responsibilities:

  • Support individual students with problem solving, movement breaks, and check in check out programs.
  • Assist with lessons to ensure the achievement of student growth
  • Assist teachers with behavior support plans
  • Organize data sheets and collection for the Check In Check Out Program
  • Organize solutions meetings by creating agendas and sending out invitations
  • Communicate with students and staff on a regular basis on student progress while maintaining confidentiality
  • Ability to follow directions easily and initiate tasks
  • Attend department and school meetings
  • Other job-related duties as assigned

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
